354,810 Flange Bolts Packed and Despatched

August 11, 2026

Delivery from Our Fourth Manufacturing Site

This latest large-scale order reflects not only the scale of demand we are seeing across the fasteners and fixings industry, but also our continued investment in the infrastructure, people and processes needed to support it.

We Manufacture and Supply at Scale

Flange bolts remain one of the most widely specified fastener types across UK manufacturing. The integrated flange beneath the head, distributes clamping load evenly across the joint surface, removing the need for a separate washer. Reducing assembly time and improving resistance to loosening under vibration. For high-volume production environments where speed, consistency and reliability are essential, the humble flange bolt continues to prove itself as a workhorse component. One that we are proud to manufacture and supply at scale.

This latest despatch is a timely reminder of just how far Rapid Industrial Fasteners has come. Expanding to a fourth site has allowed us to increase capacity significantly, yet the challenge for any growing manufacturer is to scale without losing the agility that made the business successful in the first place. We have worked hard to ensure that growth at Rapid Industrial Fasteners has never come at the expense of flexibility. Our supply chain remains tightly managed and closely monitored, allowing us to respond quickly to customer requirements, absorb fluctuations in demand and maintain the lead times our customers rely on. Even, when order volumes reach the hundreds of thousands.

Secure Volume and Dependability

Supply chain resilience has become one of the defining themes across the fastenings and fixings sector in recent years. With ongoing pressures on raw material availability, international logistics and manufacturing capacity, businesses across the UK are increasingly looking for suppliers who can guarantee both volume and dependability. By expanding our own manufacturing footprint rather than relying solely on third-party sourcing, we are able to offer our customers greater certainty, tighter quality control and shorter lead times. Wherever their fasteners need to travel.

Historical Standardisation

It is worth pausing to reflect on the engineering heritage that underpins everyday components like the flange bolt. Standardisation of screw threads, something we now take entirely for granted, has its roots firmly in British engineering. In 1841, Manchester engineer Sir Joseph Whitworth proposed a uniform system of screw threads with a consistent angle and pitch, a development that became known as the British Standard Whitworth thread. Before Whitworth’s work, nuts and bolts were typically made to fit only the specific machine they were manufactured for, meaning replacement parts often had to be custom-made by hand. Whitworth’s standardisation transformed manufacturing efficiency, laid the groundwork for interchangeable parts across British industry, and set a precedent that modern international standards, including those governing today’s flange bolts. It is a genuinely British contribution to global engineering, and one that continues to underpin the fasteners industry more than 180 years later.

Material performance is another area where flange bolts continue to earn their reputation. Depending on application, our flange bolts are manufactured to meet a range of mechanical property classes and material specifications, ensuring the correct balance of tensile strength, corrosion resistance and durability for the environment in which they will be used. Choosing the correct grade is essential, and it’s a conversation our technical team has with customers every day.

Rapid Response

As Rapid Industrial Fasteners continues to grow, our focus remains firmly on the fundamentals that have shaped our reputation across the fasteners and fixings industry: consistent quality, dependable lead times, and a supply chain built to handle scale without losing responsiveness. Despatches like this one, hundreds of thousands of components moving out of our fourth site in a single run, are a clear demonstration of that capability in action.
